5 Most Notable Free Agents Ahead Of The 2020-21 Transfer Market

Several star players will be available as free agents ahead of the 2020-21 season. Even though there’s no certainty on when the leagues will resume around the world, we do know one thing. These five players listed below will be available for free when the upcoming transfer market opens in the next few months.

Mario Götze – Dortmund

Götze will always be remembered as the player who scored the winning goal during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. However, the Germany international and current Borussia Dortmund star is far more than that. A gifted playmaker capable of playing all over the attacking third, he seems set to leave Dortmund for the second time in his career. Could a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool be on the cards? That shouldn’t be ruled out, as Liverpool do not…

Fabio Capello tips a Jude Bellingham-inspired England to win Euro 2024

Fabio Capello believes “super player” Jude Bellingham can help drive England to Euro 2024 glory this summer.

Former England manager Capello was at the Bernabeu on Sunday to see Bellingham score a stoppage-time winner as Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-2.

The 20-year-old midfielder has made an incredible impact at Real since joining from Borussia Dortmund last summer, with that superb El Clasico strike his 21st goal of the season.

“Only the super players can play like him at this age – (Lionel) Messi and some others,” Capello said at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid.

“It was an incredible performance that I saw in a really important game like El Clasico because he was very good on every part of the pitch.

“He ran back and covere…

Iceland s stunning Euro 2016 run came to an end on Sunday, but one of their supporters and Gareth Bale s affection for the Manic Street Preachers captured some of the attention on the tournament s 23rd day.

ICE-MAN GETS THE GIRL

One of the few fun elements of UEFA s nauseating pre-game entertainment prior to all Euro 2016 matches has been kiss-cam, where the camera focuses on two unsuspecting supporters in the stadium and they are expected to share a brief moment for everyone else s enjoyment.

The kisses themselves have ranged from the embarrassed peck on the cheek to the overly-passionate lip-smacker the latter always guaranteed a loud cheer.

Not content with watching his team emerge as the tournament s surprise package, one Iceland fan went even fur…

Poland coach announces 26-man list for Euro 2008

Poland s Dutch coach Leo Beenhakker on Thursday released a 26-player list from which he plans to draw his final 23-member squad for Euro 2008, the country s first ever European championships appearance.

Beenhakker said he had trimmed six names from the initial 31-member list which he had announced on April 16.

The excluded players, however, will remain on standby in case any of his picks are injured or fail to perform as Poland warm up for the June tournament in Austria and Switzerland.

Until May 28, I m totally free to change some players on the standby list in and out, Beenhakker told reporters, referring to the deadline set by European football s governing body UEFA for announcing teams.

In addition, Beenhakker added a player who had not figured o…

Dyche hoping Everton channel ´calmness and positivity´ for Brighton opener

Sean Dyche is ready for Everton to put last season s challenges behind them by making a positive start to the Premier League against Brighton on Saturday.

Everton had to contend with two points deductions last season, but an impressive run of results at the end of the campaign ensured they comfortably avoided relegation.

While they did not make the best start to pre-season, going winless in their first three games, they finished on a positive note, with a win against Preston North End and a draw with Roma.

Though they will be without key players for their opener, including Jarrad Branthwaite, Dyche is optimistic about what the season will bring.

You get the sense that, after last season s challenges and the positive end, I think there is more calmness an…

Messi, Ronaldo and Guardiola – PSG will assemble ´dream team´ by 2021

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be at Paris Saint-Germain and have Pep Guardiola as their coach by next year, says Fabrice Pancrate.

Messi has told Barcelona he wants out but was reportedly turned down in his request for a meeting with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu to discuss a transfer.

PSG sporting director Leonardo is said to have contacted the 33-year-old s father, Jorge, to inquire about his situation, though Manchester City – managed by former Barca boss Guardiola – are rumoured to be the favourites to sign the six-time Ballon d Or winner.

However, Pancrate, who played for PSG between 2004 and 2009, believes the Ligue 1 champions have a masterplan in place which involves not only Messi, but Guardiola and Juventus star Ronaldo too.
