Watford have completed the signing of Marc Navarro from Espanyol.
The 22-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League side, with Espanyol confirming a €2million fee has been paid.
Navarro came through Barcelona s youth ranks before switching to Catalan rivals Espanyol, where he made his LaLiga debut in January 2017.
Marc has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs, therefore we are delighted to have secured his services, said Watford chairman and chief executive Scott Duxbury.
Navarro joins fellow Spaniard Gerard Deulofeu at Vicarage Road after Watford announced a permanent deal with Barcelona for the previously on-loan winger.

Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann has ruled out coaching a Bundesliga side again and has brushed off reports that linked him to Rafael Benitez s job at Premier League side Liverpool.
Klinsmann was sacked as coach of Bayern Munich earlier this year after just ten months in charge of the Bundesliga giants.
And while his name is often cited in the German press whenever a coach comes under pressure, the 45-year-old has made it clear he has no interest in coaching a Bundesliga club now or in the future.
No, I will not take on a coaching role here, Klinsmann, whose name has been linked to Liverpool in the British media, told German daily Bild.
And I can t imagine that changing.
For us it is relatively clear.

Ulreich, 24, has spent his entire career at Stuttgart, and established himself as a first team regular at the start of the 2010/2011 season.

Mexico are through to the final of the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup, having beaten Costa Rica 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 final result.
Costa Rica were in fact the better side in the opening phase and got close to scoring when Alonso s shot bounced off the right post on 12 minutes.
From there on, the Mexicans began to gain terrain as a more balanced battle formed at Chicago s Soldier Field.
In the second half, Mexico even began to dominate and earned a penalty as Costa Rica captain Freddy Fernandez handled the ball in the area. However, Miguael Sabah s following spot kick was easily saved by keeper Keilor Navas.
But the four-times Gold Cup champions did score what appeared to be the winner with two minutes left in regular time, as some defensive chaos ended w…
Middlesbrough have signed Rudy Gestede from Championship side Aston Villa.
The Benin striker has joined on a deal which ties him to the Riverside Stadium until June 2020.
Gestede moved to Villa from Blackburn Rovers in July 2015 and scored nine goals in 50 league appearances for the West Midlands club, who were relegated last season.
Middlesbrough, promoted as Championship runners-up in the same campaign, are four points above the Premier League s bottom three after 20 games, having won just one of their last six matches.
Aitor Karanka s men are level with bottom club Hull City for the lowest number of goals scored in the top flight this season, having found the net just 17 times. Five of those strikes have come from Alvaro Negredo.

Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick to take his goal tally to five in two games as he fired Bayern Munich to their first Bundesliga victory of the season in a 3-0 defeat of Schalke.
After finishing with his lowest goal return for four years in 2018-19, plundering 22 league goals, the Poland international has started the new campaign in electric form and Schalke failed to contain him.
Any hopes Schalke boss David Wagner had of taking points from his first home game in charge were cast into doubt when Lewandowski converted a first-half penalty.
The 31-year-old saved his best for the second half, when he curled a spectacular free-kick into the top corner and then added a third to wrap up a comfortable victory.
Bayern coach Niko Kovac took the opportuni…
Owen Hargreaves has been left out of Manchester United s Champions League squad in the latest indication that the midfielder s rehabilitation following knee surgery is not going to plan.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said last month that he expected to name Hargreaves in his squad for the knockout phase of the competition.
But the 29-year-old was not included in the 25-man list submitted to UEFA, suggesting the club do not anticipate him being ready for the second round clash with Milan later this month.
Hagreaves has been sidelined since September 2008 and underwent surgery in the United States last year in an attempt to cure the chronic tendinitis which has blighted his career at Old Trafford.
Ferguson had initially been hopeful that the midfielder wou…
European football s ruling body UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings into Romanian club Unirea Urziceni following the violence-marred Champions League match with visitors Rangers on Wednesday.
UEFA said Friday it would be looking into the club s lack of organisation during the match, which ended 1-1 in Bucharest after scuffles broke out between Rangers fans and security officials.
It was reported that some visiting fans arrived late in the stadium and were shepherded to a section already decked out with banners from home fans, leading to scuffles and police intervening with tear gas.
Rangers have already been charged with improper conduct on the part of their supporters.
In a statement released Friday UEFA said Unirea also faced charges.

Thomas Tuchel has stressed Borussia Dortmund cannot afford to underestimate Werder Bremen in Saturday s Bundesliga encounter.
Dortmund sit second in the Bundesliga table with 23 points from 10 games, some 13 points above 14th-placed Bremen.
Nevertheless, Tuchel has warned his side against complacency at Weserstadion.
It is very hard to say what to expect from Bremen. They could cause us problems, Tuchel said at his pre-match news conference on Friday.
There is always a great atmosphere in Bremen. We need to put in a great performance in order to get something out of the game.
We are on the right path and want to continue on this road.
